MOFA Document Attestation for UAE
We can have your personal or company documents Attested by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in Australia to ensure the documents will be legally accepted in the UAE. We handle the process from start to finish - from Notarisation (if required) and DFAT Authentication through to Attestation by the UAE Embassy (MOFA) in Australia.
What is Attestation?
If you're planning to work, study, relocate, or do business in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), you'll likely need to have your Australian documents attested by the UAE Embassy. This process is essential for official use of documents in the UAE and can include degrees, birth certificates, marriage certificates, police certificates and more.
Attestation is the process by which the documents are authenticated as genuine by MOFA which allows them to be legally recognised and accepted within the UAE.
MOFA will verify the authenticity of the seal issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and affix their own seal and signature to the document.
The Attestation Process in Australia for UAE
The UAE document attestation process involves three main steps:
- Notarisation (if applicable): Some documents can be accepted by DFAT and the UAE Embassy without Notarisation. Other documents must first be notarised by an Australian Notary Public.
- Authentication by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT): All documents must be Authenticated by DFAT before being accepted by the UAE Embassy for Attestation
- Attestation by the UAE Embassy in Canberra: MOFA will verify the authenticity of the seal issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and affix their own seal and signature to the document.
Each step must be completed in the correct order. Missing or skipping a step may result in the rejection of your documents in the UAE. While the process may seem complicated, we make it simple. We handle the entire process from start to finish - all for a fixed price including DFAT Authentication, Attestation fees and express delivery of the completed documents.
